About Sports Perspectives:

Sportsperspectives: Because there aren’t enough sports blogs.

Sports Perspectives (formerly Inter Sports Wire) is a sports site with no clear path or concise purpose. There. We said it. Big surprise.

One thing we won’t be doing is talking gossip. We really couldn’t care less. We refuse to confuse sports with celebrity. Maybe we’re being a little naive and it may come at the expense of traffic but in life you make your choices and we made ours.

Wanna partner up? Why should you bother? Simple: We bribe. We love book reviews, thought provoking stuff, your sister and espresso. Read on.

Guidelines:
Make us laugh. If you fail to make anyone laugh or have the sense of humour of a gnat don’t panic. Just send us a well-written and reasoned article – plus cash. Small, unmarked bills.

We do ask you to adhere to these useless but courteous rules to ensure civility:

-Kindly provide your URL or signature that you would like at the end of your post.
-Link us. Sounds erotic but it really isn’t.

Note regarding our comments policy:

Personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated and thus not published. Aside from being sensitive folk, negotiating the fine line that is free speech and stupidity is simple to us: call anyone a name in a comment and ZAP! That’s the sound of comments being deleted. We also reserve the right to edit comments.

Here’s an example of a good comment:

Tiger is one of the greatest athletes of our time. And he isn’t finished yet.
Michael Phelps is arguably the best swimmer in the planet right now.
They are the same when they achieve the things in their sports.
No need to disrespect either of them.
Specially Tiger who has been a beacon on what a sports hero is all about.”

Although the only hero I know is Bugs Bunny.

And now an example of a bad comment:

fuck you you right wing piece of shit.”

First, the politics pages are thataway. Second, dude, commas. They work. Third, how is this remotely going to be approved?

Also, please refrain from using terms like “you’re stupid” and “lack education.” It’s lame and will be edited.

What we want is constructive criticism. Be challenging. It’s all good, kids. And remember, it’s a BLOG.

For Publishers:

SP loves to read books, preferably with lots of words and false dilemmas. If you have a book and would like it to be reviewed as well as some ‘net exposure we’ll be glad to take a free one and offer our insights and opinions. Contact Alessandro or Manfred.

Who we are:

I wish we knew.

SP is operated and maintained by Alessandro Nicolo, Manfred Wenas, Sarah di Staulo and some weirdo who goes by the name Beaker.

 About
