Just A Thought On Cristiano RonaldoI really didn’t care for the Ronaldo drama about where he was going to play.

Sometimes certain players get way too much attention. David Posh – also known as Beckham – was and is a perfect example. The way he’s talked about one would think he was the greatest midfielder in the modern era. He isn’t. I like Beckham. For what he does, he’s simply divine but his popularity does not match the reality of his skills.

Cristiano Ronaldo is fast, flashy and horny. He’s perfect for the tabloids. In the U.S., TMZ seems to have taken a liking to him.

He’s capable of making you ooo and aww. He certainly had a superb campaign last season and does indeed possess high qualities (though some of those moves are blatantly pointless) but…

Cristiano Ronaldo is not the world’ best soccer player. For my money, Lionel Messi is a more complete player at the moment. Kaka and Ronaldinho, when on form, surpass him. But to name a couple.

Move along.

  1. Yes, I agree with you about David Beckham. He is not great player at all, not even good. He became popular just because of the news around him plus his posh spice, Victoria. On Cristiano Ronaldo, I totally disagree with you about everything you said. Yes, I like Kaka, Ronaldinho, and somewhat the Midget Messi. Just want to let you know that my all time favorite player is Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima from Brazil.. He is the best ever in Soccer/Football history. But if you compare CR7 with little Messi, I think CR7 is way better than Messi. Cristiano is complete as a player.. Tall, fast, good in both foot, etc. Messi??? He is only good with Left foot, never/rarely score goal by heading and he is not as fast as Cristiano. However, they all modern player that bring the beauty into the field….

Lionel Messi does not compare to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is faster, stronger, sets up more plays, assists on more goals, scores more goals, keeps possession.

The stats don’t lie mate. Take a look at them, the difference in the two also reflects in the cold, hard numbers.

Anyone who thinks differently has no clue about football.

  3. Sorry Kiki Gotta Disagree With You There

When Ronaldo Does His Skills (although they are a joy to watch)He doesnt progress much

Messi ALthough Skills Arent Too Spectacular He Makes Runs Far Beyound Ronaldo

Ronaldo Does Well For What He Does

    Messi Is Better Alround

And i Agree Ronaldinho if on his game IS and i say is the best player in the world

  4. Hi guys, let’s prove it statisticaly the two. Ronaldo: scored 42 goals last season by spectacular free kick, heading, twisting, shooting from 30 yard, etc. plus countless passing he provided to other players through free kick, beautiful running and tricky passing. etc. Ronaldo is super complete as a player. He does something that no one has ever done in soccer that is his step over trade mark. Remember, Ronaldo is not striker. He is a winger. Lionel Messi: scored less goal than Ronaldo, even though he is striker; only good with his left foot; he does a regular thing in soccer as Maradona, Owen, and the great Ronaldo Luiz de Lima has done in past; never/rarely score goals by heading; does not have tricky passing; never score by spectacular free kick; and many others; AND yet he is not good looking either,,,ahahahaa (sorry about this one)

    peace

Thank you all for your thoughts.

John, if choosing Messi over Ronaldo suggests someone doesn’t know soccer so be it! ;<)

Kiki, oh no! You’re starting “who’s the best looking soccer player?” debate! I’m not getting involved.

They are both great players no doubt.

  6. sorry kiki your getting way over yourself. ronaldo has not scored many goals farther out than 30 yards. yes, hes definitely better than messi at freekicks but he only had 5-7 of them if not less. headers, you say this is a big skill? not it isnt headers come from the assister not the scorer. (unless its a diving one ofcourse) ronaldoo also dives and does many pointless tricks.ive watched all 42 goals, when you watch them your just watching tap-ins and headers nothing fantastic except for the fk’s

  7. am sick of all dis talk about cristiano ronaldo being the best in the world
yes he has quality and skill but he has nothing over messi who unlike ronaldo has scored wonder goals compared to maradona, where he has ghosted past players to calmly go around the keeper and tuck it in with his weaker foot, when has anyone ever seen cristiano ronaldo do that. Plus ronaldo is a diver and a cheater , again whereas messi, if he gets fouled easily bounces back up and gets on with the game.
And as for the free-kicks , check out juninho perembaucano form lyon ,, he is by far better than ronaldo.
