Where Are They Now? Gizmo Williams

While reading up on Takeo Spikes (who was spiked by the Philadelphia Eagles. Thanks for coming) I came across this neat article from 'The Eagle Report' on Henry "Gizmo" Williams.

Gizmo is pretty popular in Canada. He played for the Edmonton Eskimos between 1986-2000 and was essentially the best punt returner in the history of the Canadian Football League.

I remember Gizmo very well. His name was synonymous with the Eskies and he most certainly was an exciting player.

He had a short stint - very short - with Buddy Ryan's Philadelphia Eagles. Is it me or did Ryan not get enough out of what was a pretty darn good football club those years?

Anyway, I'll let the article take over from here.

As for Spikes, well, I'm sure this will create some debate among Eagles fans who are witnessing an overhaul of their defensive unit. The Eagles have been quite active reshuffling their staff this off season. If there is one thing about the Eagles, they are good with this sort of stuff - just like the New England Patriots. These two clubs are among the better organizations in the NFL.

What I said abot Ryan earlier can be applied to Andy Reid (a well-respected coach) too - but at least he got his team to a Super Bowl final.

Still...
